Scripture: 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah. 55:15
Jabez was more honourable than his brethren, then his mother J named him Jabez. Although he was honorable his name and his life was a symbol of pain. He demanded a change in name by praying to God. This demand was not only for a change of name but also for a better life and experiences. Jacob was described as a plain man. It mean he was a contemplative person and he also demanded for a change(Gen 32:28). One thing is similar of both: they put pressure on God and His word and didn’t let go untill the change was effected. When you desire a change, it is your faith in the word that brings it to pass(Lk5:5 ). The word is the principal force used for getting a turn around. Pressure should be on the word. Stand on the word. The word is living, active, quick and powerful like a two edged sword, one side for you the other side against your enemy. With the word you can change your world.
Prayer: Father, grant me the staying power to stay on the word until it yields the purpose for which it was sent.
Faith Byte: I put pressure on the word, the wordworks.
