The Hilltop Family

You will understand the birth of the The HILLTOP had her inaugural service on the 6th of June 1993 at Orowurukwo town hall in the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State with 7 persons in attendance. The Hilltop currently have more than 10,000 registered members in five continents across the world.

The name HILLTOP is gotten from the scriptures: Matthew 5:14; "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden".

WHY DO WE EXIST AS A CHURCH? The purpose of the HILLTOP is tied to the GREAT COMMANDMENT and THE GREAT COMMISSION!

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT: "Jesus said, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matt. 22:36-40

THE GREAT COMMISSION: "Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."Matt. 28:19-20

The HILLTOP exists to:

1. Worship God
2. Minister to (take care of) one another
3. Reach the world for Christ
4. Fellowship with one another, and
5. Train men to become more like Christ.
